| Bio: | You want to know something about me? Silly person, go learn something useful! No? Ok, fine. Let's see how quickly I can bore you to tears... I run, hike, weight lift, and swim, just to name a few activities. I've also just begun assistant-coaching a softball team. Always looking for new sports-related stuff. I can't run like I used to because of a knee injury, so I've found some other great distractions. It's fun trying different things, branching out, finding new experiences. Experiences... oh yes, and then there's work. I got my Biology degree from UNH, and I'm trying to somehow apply that to a career. I've been eeking out a living from my wand-carving business over the past couple of months, but I'm going to begin a job hunt in earnest now. Time to save the environment, stop global warming, join Greenpeace, and cure the common cold... all before lunch. Or, at least, try to find an entry-level environmental research position. Or grad school. In the meantime, I'm desperately trying to find time to keep up with my writing (my *other* hobby), both fanfic and original stories. I've been terribly lazy with it lately, but RL has been insanely busy. Good, but busy. *smacks writer's block with a broom* I have a sequel to my big fanfic that I need to write, and an original novel I've been meaning to write for a few years now. *sigh* Someday, right? On a personal note, I consider myself pagan, but not of any specific group. I tend to prefer the Druidic belief/practice system, but in reality, my background is too varied to put a tight label on it. I'd say that my faith is monotheistic, my philosophy is Eastern, and my practice is pagan. If you can sort that out, then we ought to chat sometime. :) Generally, I won't talk too much about my inner beliefs on this journal - this is more of a lighthearted way for me to keep in touch with people, post my stories, and have fun, but every so often you'll see some of the deeper stuff poke through. What else? Ah, special talents! Well, I can wiggle my ears. I can juggle. I find 4-leaf clovers by the hundreds (seriously, you should see the collection). I can do one-handed push-ups. (I learned that when I broke my right hand.) I do a great Harry Potter impersonation. I make excellent sushi. I can identify over a dozen gourmet, non-flavoured coffees by smell alone. I can perform minor acts of telekinesis. No, really! I can! Why don't you believe me? Beyond that, I don't drink much, I don't smoke, and I have an obsession with socks. And there's me in a nutshell. (Pecan, I think.) Now get outta here! ;) | |||||||||
